Create a Morning Reset schedule for the hours when you want to get ready without opening feeds. Choose recurring days, a start and end time, and the apps to pause. Once enabled, the schedule applies automatically without starting a manual timer each morning.

These are suggested settings, not a built-in preset. Select the apps and hours that fit your needs.

Try it step by step

  1. Choose a window that begins before your usual first app check and ends when you need to use your phone normally.
  2. Open Schedules, choose New schedule, and name it “Morning Reset”.
  3. Choose your repeating days and time window. The example below uses 07:00–08:00; adapt it to your routine.
  4. Select the apps to block, optionally add a reminder message, and save the enabled schedule. Required protection permissions must be granted.
  5. Notice whether the protected hour made room for breakfast, getting ready, or planning. Move the window if your wake-up time changes.

Choose a first action

Make your bed, wash up, and write an intention on paper before checking a feed. A schedule supports that choice by putting selected apps out of reach during the window.

The routine can be small. Protecting breakfast is enough if a full phone-free morning does not fit your life. Keep access to transport tickets or family messages when you need them.

Handle different weekend mornings

A weekday schedule need not control your weekend. Create a separate weekend window if you wake later, or leave those days unselected.

If an overnight bedtime block overlaps Morning Reset, an app selected by both remains restricted until all applicable protection ends. Ending one window does not cancel the other.

Common questions

Do I have to open Focnera when I wake up?

An enabled recurring schedule applies during the selected days and times automatically, provided the required device permissions remain available.

What if I need to change today’s plan?

Pause the current schedule window when needed. Its apps can remain blocked by another active schedule or manual focus session. Edit or disable the schedule when you want to change the repeating routine.
