Use a recurring study schedule for your regular homework window. Choose school days, set the time range, and select distracting apps. Focnera applies the same boundary each selected day so you can begin with your assignment rather than setting up another timer.

These are suggested settings, not a built-in preset. Select the apps and hours that fit your needs.

Try it step by step

  1. Gather the assignment and check which apps are genuinely needed for it before setting the block list.
  2. Open Schedules, choose New schedule, and name it “Study hour”.
  3. Choose your repeating days and time window. The example below uses 16:30–17:30; adapt it to your routine.
  4. Select the apps to block, optionally add a reminder message, and save the enabled schedule. Required protection permissions must be granted.
  5. Review whether the time window fits your timetable. Change it for exam periods, holidays, or after-school commitments.

A recurring window, a different task each day

Your schedule can stay the same while the assignment changes. Write the day’s next step separately: solve a problem set, revise a paragraph, or review a topic.

If a lesson needs YouTube, leave it available or watch the required material before the protected practice period. A schedule restricts apps, not individual videos or recommendations.

Choose how to handle breaks

A continuous scheduled window keeps selected apps restricted throughout it. It is not an automatic work-break cycle. Take a break away from those apps, or choose a shorter window if that better fits your routine.

For an occasional revision sprint outside regular study hours, use a manual focus session. Be aware that a manual session and a schedule can overlap.

Common questions

Does this automatically create Pomodoro breaks?

No. A schedule defines a continuous start-to-end blocking window. Use the app’s timer separately when you want to choose an individual session.

What if I need to change today’s plan?

Pause the current schedule window when needed. Its apps can remain blocked by another active schedule or manual focus session. Edit or disable the schedule when you want to change the repeating routine.
