Choose a recurring quiet window for journaling or meditation and select the apps you want to pause. Leave any guided audio or journal app available. The schedule creates an app boundary; the practice itself is yours to choose.

These are suggested settings, not a built-in preset. Select the apps and hours that fit your needs.

Try it step by step

  1. Place your journal nearby or open the guided practice you intend to use, making sure it is not selected for blocking.
  2. Open Schedules, choose New schedule, and name it “A quiet moment”.
  3. Choose your repeating days and time window. The example below uses 07:30–07:45; adapt it to your routine.
  4. Select the apps to block, optionally add a reminder message, and save the enabled schedule. Required protection permissions must be granted.
  5. Choose a window of at least fifteen minutes and adjust the time of day to suit your actual routine.

Keep the setup small

A short note, a few quiet breaths, or a guided practice can be enough to give the window a purpose. You do not need a complicated routine to use a schedule.

If you write on your phone, keep the journal app available and pause the apps that lead you away from it. If you use paper, setting the phone aside can be part of the routine.

An attention tool, not a wellbeing promise

A focus schedule does not measure mindfulness, diagnose a condition, or guarantee stress relief. Use it as a practical boundary for a routine you have chosen.

If your practice takes less than fifteen minutes, you can leave the selected apps paused for a longer quiet window, or use a manual timer that better fits your needs.

Common questions

Can a recurring schedule be five minutes long?

The current schedule setup requires a window of at least fifteen minutes. Manual focus timers are a separate feature.

What if I need to change today’s plan?

Pause the current schedule window when needed. Its apps can remain blocked by another active schedule or manual focus session. Edit or disable the schedule when you want to change the repeating routine.
