Focnera needs your device’s app-protection authorization to restrict selected apps. Allow the system request, choose at least one app, and check the permission state in Focnera before starting a session.
Try it step by step
- Open Focnera and follow its prompt to enable protection permissions.
- Review and respond to the system authorization screen.
- Select the apps to restrict and confirm the selection.
- If permission is denied, use Focnera’s permission or settings action, review the device settings, then return to the app.
If you cannot start a session
First check whether authorization is enabled and at least one app is selected. The app checks both before allowing a new session. Also check whether a session is already running; use its current-session controls rather than trying to start a second session.
If you return from Settings, give the app a moment to refresh its status. Permission wording and available controls can vary with the operating-system version. Follow the device’s current system prompts instead of relying on an exact menu label from a different version.
What to include in a support request
Record your device model, operating-system version, app version, and the step where the problem occurs. Describe whether the permission request appeared, whether apps could be selected, and what the current-session screen shows.
Share only the information needed to explain the issue. Crop unrelated notifications or personal app activity out of screenshots. Never send passwords or device passcodes. The support link is available on the Focnera website and in the app.
Common questions
Does granting permission mean I need an account?
No. Device authorization is a system permission, separate from account registration. Focnera’s core focus features do not require a Focnera account.
